k the coloring sucks royally, so don't give me monkey turd about it, mk? It was basically rushed just so that I could present it for class. Anyways, in my class we were supposed to make a powerPoint presentation about our method of doing our practice, so obviously I did something that is more geared toward what I do. The lineart turned out brilliantly on paper, and the hair was wonderfully rendered, but about 1/3rd of the way into th drawing I realized that I didn't have the time to finish it looking wonderful. SO, I had to basically throw it in high gear to get it done so that I would have at least a little time to sleep before class that morning. Well, 'ere it is. Drawing and everything all done. I'm going to recolor everything but his hair because I love his hair passionately like a wolfspider loves it's morning cricket. hope you like it anyways.
for the most part, it's all self taught. but I learned good value shading from a university I breifly attended in sanfrancisco. I got instruction from the world famous Henry Yan.

Dude! I totally love this! 8D Especially how he actually looks wild, compared to some other "Tribesfolk" stuff you see here on dA that's basically just a generic bishie in a loincloth |D
Again, totally love this! Keep it up, Josh! <D

"You do realize why we wear lightning bolts on our shirts, right?" - Dmitri Tokamak, Dresden Codak
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
